How to lose 20 lbs. in 30 days without even thinking about how to lose weight fast
Disclaimer: This is a personal experience I had and it does not promise the same results for others. Eat apples at your own risk. In my experience it is the fastest way to lose weight.
In the autumn of 2010 I had a myocardial inflammation (which is bad) that put me in hospital for 4 weeks and after that I wasn’t allowed to train hard and do some proper exercise for more than six months!
This illness actually is the main reason for me creating this here blog, but that’s beside the story.
Being a sporty fellow this was pretty frustrating and I soon became bored not being able to hike up a mountain or climb a rock. But I love good and healthy food. Never cut down on that. And with a heartbeat never exceeding the 130 bpm for half a year I took on some weight.
Trying one of my shirts one day was real shock and I decide to see what’s up. I gained 15 kilo (about 30 lbs).
This may not seem a lot to many people, but for me reaching the 200 lbs. mark with ease came like a hard knock on the door.
So I heard about the apple diet. You know, the fastest way to lose weight eating 4 apples a day and all. So I gave it a go.
My strict apple regime to lose weight fast
- Breakfast: Muesli with one grated apple, yoghurt and honey
- 10 o’clock snack: one apple or carrot
- Shortly before lunch: one Apple
- Lunch: One warm meal, freshly cooked, but no special diet here
- Afternoon snack: carrots or raw cauliflower (an acquired taste, but I like it)
- Supper: A light meal, usually some bread and cheese with sometimes an apple
As you can see, I have about 5 to 6 meals a day, but I only take fresh, healthy foods. Some days I replaced apples for more carrots or cucumber, but I did my best to eat an average of at least 3 apples a day, for thirty days. After that I was kind of fed up with apples as you might imagine.
The results: 20 lbs less in 30 days. I kid you not!
Of course there was more going on than just me gobbling apples. I did exercise, albeit with a heart rate chronometer that beeped when my heart reached 130 bpm.
What kind of exercise can that be? Walking. Snowshoe walking, a walk with my son, cycling and more strolling. This is time intensive exercise but it’s a real fat killer. This actually laid the foundation for my good condition today. Low bpm training increases metabolism significantly and is way better for burning fat than intensive training in the gym I was told by my doctor.
I never exercised more that one hour a day. But that’s it! Other than eating apples and regular exercise I sinned like crazy! I drank beer and wine. I had meat and I ate fries (home made, fried in olive oil), pastas and pizza. And I visited McEvil twice with my son. And I too couldn’t resist.
So all in all a pretty normal rhythm.
You are what you eat
Also, eating fresh, unprocessed foods is very important. In fact, I find what we eat forms the basis for all that we are. So if you love cooking like me, you’re in luck. Fresh vegetables, fish and free range meat may be a bit more expensive, but why should you save on your health anyway?
It’s downright easy to lose weight fast and effectively, I could’ve shed those final ten pounds off too if I hadn’t started to suspect the apples of wanting to make me one of them..
The bottom line is that consistence is king. Junk food is the devil, carrots are heaven and some kind of daily exercise is your secret weapon.
Just imagine yourself being able to put up with apples for two months. You could shed double the amount of weight (40 lbs.) in only eight weeks! That would definitely be the fastest way to to loose weight and keep a normal diet.
